Kay did 2 wonderful pastel paintings for me. Her talent is unbelievable, the intricate detail that Kay draws is stunning and Kay captures such emotion in her work. She brings such passion and enthusiasm to her work and clearly loves what she does. Kay's work brings joy to the recipients and actually I feel like a cheat as I had commissioned Kay (who did all the work) but I received the credit as I gifted the pictures! I have been surprised by my daughters on two separate occasions with amazing portraits of my dogs. The first was of Toby, a terrier and a rescue dog. Kay captured his cheeky personality and his amazing tan colouring. Toby passed away 12 months ago but I have an amazing reminder in the lounge and I am sure his big brown eyes wink on occasions, the portrait is that real!. The second portrait is of Poppy, a rescue Collie my daughters "made" me get after my wife passed away. Poppy is the usual black and white collie and again, Kay has captured her sweet nature. I met Kay through a friend at work who showed me a fantastic picture Kay had painted for her. At the time, I was looking for a present for my husband who is totally in love with our Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Bert. Kay kindly offered to paint Bert from a photo. When I first saw the painting I was blown away by how Kay had captured Bert's cheeky staffie smile which was just like he was standing in the room with us, it was so life like.
